OBITUARY
MR F. M. COLLINS The death has occurred of Mr Frank Mark Collins, a well-known resident of the Wendonside district. Mr Collins, who was the third son of the late Mr and Mrs Frank Collins, pioneers of the district, was born and educated at Wendonside and spent the greater part of his life there. He was a keen sportsman and took a prominent part in athletic meetings in his younger days. He was also a keen angler. During the Great War he left New Zealand with the 6th Reinforcements and served till the end of the war with the first and second Otago Infantry Battalions. He was wounded in action and had a distinguished record as a soldier. Before returning to New Zealand he married Miss E. Collins, of England. Shortly after his return lie took up the property which lie farmed successfully until his death. He is survived by his wife, one son and one daughter.
