(Special) WELLINGTON, October 15. Following is the Special weather forecast for Southland, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Moderate westerly to south-west-erly winds, fresh at times about Foveaux Strait. The weather fair to fine with cold night and moderate day temperatures. The weather in Invercargill yesterday was cold and mainly overcast, with a strong westerly wind. The weather at 1 o’clock this morning was cold and heavily overcast, with a strong wind from the south-west. The barometer reading was 30.31 in (steady). The Tides.—High water, Invercargill, 7.36 а. 8.09 p.m. Bluff. 6.55 a.m.; 7.28 p.m. Riverton, 5.55 a.m.; 6.28 p.m. Oreti Beach, б. a.m.; 6.37 p.m. , The Sun.—Rises, 5.51 a.m.; sets, 7.16 p.m.
