BIRTHDAY PARTY OF BOYS’ BAND

The sixth birthday party of the Battalion Boys’ Band was held in the band room last night. Mr A. Cook, the president, presided over a large attendance, which included the citizens’ committee, the social committee and members of the three bands (seniors, boys and learners). The following toast list was honoured: “Boys’ Band” (proposed by Mr R. D. Donaldson and acknowledged by Lieutenant A. McMaster); “Members in the Forces” (Mr F. J. Logan-Mr A. Kirwan and Private E. Etevenaux); “Mothers’ Club” (Mr W. McDonald-Mrs A. Cook); “Entertainers” (Mr W. Robertson). Items were given by Messi's. J. Cowley, J. Wills, Palmer, and J. Gilchrist.
