JOE LOUIS TO RETIRE
Too Old After The War (Rec. 8.40 p.m.) NEW YORK, Oct 11. Joe Louis has indicated that he plans to retire from the ring. “My fighting days are over,” he said. “By the time the war is over I will be in my thirties and that’s too old for a fighter. lam too old now.” Louis is 28 years of age.
