£10 SPENT TO RAISE £800
The recent collection of subscriptions for the patriotic fund by means of envelopes distributed to householders in the city resulted in a sum of £BOO being raised. The total expenses of the effort amounted to only £lO. This was reported at the meeting of the Metropolitan Patriotic Committee last night, and the opinion was expressed that the effort was well worth while.
