THEFT CHARGES ADMITTED

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, October 8. Raymond John Watts, aged 28, an Air Force sergeant and formerly a buyer for Woolworths (N.Z.) Ltd., who had pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate’s Court to 10 charges of theft, 10 charges of failing to account, one charge of forgex-y and one charge under the Secret Commissions Act, today in the Supreme Court reversed his plea and was sentenced by Mr Justice Blair to terms of imprisonment amounting to three years and three months. The amount involved in the charges exceeded £16,000.
