ANTSIRABE CAPTURED BY BRITISH

(Rec. 10.20 p.m.) LONDON, October 6. Vichy admits that toe British captured Antsirabe (Madagascar), also toe railway between Tamatave and Antananarivo. According to the Vichy news agency toe Royal Air Force attacked a car in which M. Annet, the Vichy Governor-General, was inspecting defence works south of Antsirabe. M. Annet and toe accompanying Ministers were not hurt. Fighting is proceeding on toe Sambaina plains, where toe British are suffering heavy losses, according to Vichy sources.
