Shortage Of Oil Predicted (Rec. 6.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, October 6. America faces a real shortage of crude oil unless new fields are discovered. Mr Charles Roeser, a former president of the Independent Petroleum Association of America, warned a Senate sub-committee that the annual consumption from proved underground reserves was already exceeding new production and nowhere was being replaced by new discoveries.
