ANZAC DAY AS HOLIDAY
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, October 7. The Dominion executive of the Returned Services Association has issued a statement deploring the fact that the observance of Anzac Day as a day of memorial should become a bargaining point in award negotiations before the Arbitration Court. The executive points out that some awards of the Arbitration Court provide that when Anzac Day falls on a Sunday and the Monday, April 26, is also a holiday, then Anzac Day shall be observed on April 27. This will happen next year when Easter Monday in on April 26.
