LEAVE FOR SOLDIERS

A reply was received yesterday by Mr W. M. C. Denham. M.P., to the telegram he sent to the Prime Minister requesting that Southland soldiers who are married and are in northern camps should be given leave and free transport to visit their homes at least once a month.

The Prime Minister’s reply states: "The contents of your telegram have been noted. The whole question of soldiers* leave will receive the urgent attention of the War Cabinet."
