AIR CASUALTIES
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. October 6. The following R.N.Z.A.F. casualties were announced today (the rank is that of sergeant unless otherwise indicated): — Harvey, Cpl R. E., seriously 111: Auckland. Ives, S. H., killed on active service: Takaka. Meyer, Flight-Sgt N. R., missing on air operations; Christchurch. Morgan, M. A., missing on air operations; Whakatane. Morrison, T. H., slightly injured on active service: Auckland. Parker, C. L„ missing on air operations; New Plymouth. Fellow, E. T., killed on active service; Scullin, P. P„ missing on air operations; Napier. The following reclassifications have also been announced:— Atkin, J..W. F., of Warkworth, previously reported missing, now a prisoner of war. Bevan, L. S., of Rotorua, previously reported missing, now prisoner of war. Bimie, Pilot Officer R., of Auckland, previously reported missing, death now officially presumed. Christensen, Pilot Officer A. G., of Hastings, previously reported missing, now a prisoner of war. ) . . Clifford, Flight-Sgt D. F., of Auckland, previously reported missing, now missing believed killed. Devine, T. W., of Ward, previously reported missing, now a prisoner of war. Evans, A. W. S., of Hawera, previously reported missing believed killed, death now presumed. Fox, Pilot Officer J. J., of Wellington, previously reported missing believed killed, death now presumed. HOLLANDS, W. N., of Ohai, previously reported missing, now a prisoner of. war. Inder, E. C., of Blenheim, previously reported missing believed killed, death now presumed. . ■ . Jones, W. H., of Auckland, removed from seriously ill list. McKeown, Flying Officer W. T., of Christchurch, previously reported missing, now a prisoner of war. SOLDIER DIES FROM INJURIES (P.A.) WELLINGTON, October 6. The following N.Z.E.F. casualty is announced :— . „ . Adamson, Spr P. H„ died as result of accident; mother, Mrs M. Adamson, Christchurch. SOUTHLAND SOLDIERS Mr and Mrs D. Mulvey, Tweed street, have received cabled advice that their son, Gerrard, previously reported missing, is now reported a prisoner of war. Mrs J. McAuliffe, 18 Fox street, has received cabled advice that her son, Private Leslie Patterson, is safe and well. Mr and Mrs J. McGarvie, Otara, have received a cable from their son, Private James McGarvie, stating that he is safe and well.
