AIR CASUALTIES
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, September 2. The following air casualties were announced today:— Blacklock, Flight-Sgt E. F„ killed in aircraft accident; mother, Mrs M. C. Blacklock, Dunedin. Smith, Leading Aircraftman K. A., admitted to hospital with sickness; father, Mr W. J. Smith, Pahiatua. The following reclassifications are announced :— Blair, Sgt N. H., of Nelson, previously reported missing believed killed, death now officially presumed. Crowhurst, Sgt S. V., of Hamilton, previously reported missing believed killed, death now presumed. Ellis, Pilot Officer A. L„ of Geraldine, previously reported missing; now missing believed killed. Hutchinson, Flight-Sgt G. D„ of Brisbane, previously reported missing believed killed, death now presumed. Ibbotson, Sgt J. K., of New Plymouth, previously reported missing believed killed, death now presumed. Johnston, Sgt C. 1., of Wellington, previously reported missing, death now presumed. Lincoln, Sgt L. J. H., of Auckland, previously reported missing believed killed, death now presumed. Murdoch, Pilot Officer B. N., of Wellington, previously reported missing, death now presumed. Partridge, Sgt F. S., of Greymouth, previously reported missing, now missing believed killed. Rhodes, Sgt E. G., of Te Awamutu, previously reported missing now interned in French West Africa. Sykes, Sgt R. S., of Rotorua, previously reported missing, now killed. Watson, Sgt H. A. T., of Upper Hutt, previously reported missing, now missing believed killed WA2 Ada Hodder and WAI Olive Tui Kate Lawless, the former of V/ellsford and the latter of Auckland, previously reported seriously ill, now removed from the seriously ill list.
