NATIONAL SAVINGS.— The £llOO mark has been passed in National Savings investments at Invercargill this week, leaving £9OO required to reach the quota of £2043 for the forty-second consecutive week. INDUSTRIAL MAN-POWER COMMITTEE —The Otago and Southland Industrial ManPower Committee is to hear appeals at Tuatapere today. Tomorrow morning the committee will hold a sitting in Invercargill and will leave for Balclutha in the afternoon.
