Cloudy and Changeable (Special) WELLINGTON, Sept. 2. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Westerly winds prevailing and becoming strong near Foveaux Strait. The weather cloudy and changeable with occasional showers; temperatures becoming cool. The weather in Invercargill yesterday was fine and sunny during the morning and partly overcast during the afternoon. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was cool, clear and calm. The barometer reading was 29.70 in (steady). THE TIDES.—High water, Invercargill, 8.58 a.m., 9.26 p.m.; Bluff, 8.17 a.m., 8.45 p.m.; Riverton, 7.17 a.m., 7.45 p.m.; Oretl Beach, 7.26 a.m., 7.52 p.m. THE SUN.—Rises 7.15 a.m., sets 6.18 p.m.
