TUATAPERE HOME GUARD.—At a wellattended meeting held at Tuatapere to consider forming a citizens’ committee of the Home Guard, Mr P. Hamilton was in the chair. The chairman and Mr A. McDonald outlined the activities such a body could undertake to raise funds for the Home Guard and explained the many needs for those funds. It was unanimously decided to form a committee to work in conjunction with Tuatapere B Company, which extends from Te Wae Wae to Papatotara, Including Tuatapere. Major J. O. Harper and Captain R. McKenzie will be the Home Guard representatives on the committee. Mrs C. Bruce will act as secretary.
