DUNEDIN COMPETITIONS

(Special) DUNEDIN, August 31. At the fifth session of the Dunedin competitions this evening, Miss M. H. Mcßae (Dipton) was highly commended for her performance in the vocal solo, ladies or men, own selection, light opera or comedy. In the piano duet, 17 and under 21, Misses Marie Winders and Rosalie Ferry (Invercargill), the only competitors, were placed first with 81 points. In the character dance, 10 and under 13, the placings were: Valerie Fox (Invercargill), 82 points, 1; Colleen Flnlin (Dunedin), 80, 2; Shirley M. Harvey (Browns), 78, 3. There were seven competitors.
