EMPIRE DAY OF PRAYER

Thursday, the third anniversary of the outbreak of the war, will be observed throughout the Empire as a day of prayer The arrangements in Invercargill include a citizens’ service of prayer in the Civic Theatre and a united all-day service of prayer in St. Paul’s Church, Dee street. The citizens’ service has been arranged to enable business men and women to attend in the lunch hour. At St. Paul’s Church ministers of various churches will conduct hourly sessions of intercession from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.
