PIANIST’S SUCCESS AT DUNEDIN

(Special) DUNEDIN, August 30. At the Dunedin Competitions, the chief event on yesterday’s programme, the pianoforte solo for competitors between 16 and 18 was won by Miss Elaine Hulse, of Invercargill. This carried with it a scholarship valued at £5/5/-. The judge, Dr T. Vernon Griffiths, said Miss Hulse showed good all-round technique and a realization of the underlying character of the music.
