ADVANCE SUBSCRITPIONS TO WAR LOAN
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, August 25. The Reserve Bank announces that since August 10 mqre than £1,000,000 has been received as advance subscriptions to the next war loan. The A.M.P. Society lodged £250,000 and many other insurance offices and financial institutions have made substantial contributions. AU amounts received will be applied to the next war loan, which the Prime Minister announced would be issued later in the year.
