TRAMWAYS SOCIAL CLUB
The annual meeting of the Tramways Social Club was presided over by Mr T. Walker (vice-president) in the absence of the president, Mr S. Jones, who is at present in hospital. Members expressed regret that the president was unable to attend the meeting and' wished him a speedy recovery to health. It was stated that the club had a membership of 58 and that the finances were in a sound position. The election of officers resulted:—President, Mr S. Jones; vice-presidents, Messrs T. Walker and E. Smith; treasurer, Mr A. Hagen; secretary, Mr V. Broad; committee, Messrs ■G. Donald, N. Jones, R. Ferguson, A. Harper, R. Melrose and J. Scott. The following trophies were awarded: Senior billiards championship cup, A. Hagen; Ryder Cup, N. Jones.
