Fair To Cloudy
(Special) WELLINGTON, August 19. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Fresh to strong westerly to north-, westerly winds; occasional showers in the western ranges, but the weather otherwise fair to cloudy; moderate temperatures.
The weather in Invercargill yesterday was cold and partly overcast with a strong north-westerly wind. At 1 o’clock tins morning the weather was cool and clear with a slight northwesterly breeze. The barometer reading was 29.80 in (rising). The Tides.—High water, Invercargill, 9.09 a.m.; 9.41 p.m. Bluff 8.28 a.m.; 9.00 p.m. Riverton, 7.28 a.m.; 8.00 p.m. The Sun. —Rises 7.40 a.m.; sets 6.01 p.m.
