PEOPLE’S MOVEMENT DISSOLVED
(Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON, August 15. Mr W. J; Brown, Captain A. S. Cun-ningham-Reid and Mr E. L. Granville, members of Parliament, have jointly issued a statement announcing that the People’s Movement has been dissolved. The movement was formed in an attempt to diminish the excessive and dangerous power of Party caucuses on both sides of the House of Commons, and more especially to fight for the right of independent candidates to challenge Party caucuses at by-elections. This second object has now been largely achieved and the promoters now desire to devote themselves to questions of public policy.
