GERMANY “SETTLED DOWN TO WAR”
(Rec. 10.45 p.m.) STOCKHOLM, August 13.
The German SS Organ, Schwarze Korps, stated: “The day Marshal Petain laid down arms we believed we were close to victory. Optimists hoped England would make a settlement on a basis of the world being big enough for the two great Germanic nations. The invasion which did not taken place strengthened British morale and burdened German morale. We are today thoroughly settled down to the war. The cupboard is well provided. The mothballs in Germany in this war, contrary to the last, are gaining strength. We do not need to be too hasty. We have time.”
