SPORTS CONTEST BETWEEN A.T.C. SQUADRONS
Rugby football, basketball and table tennis teams from the Dimedin Squadron of the Air Training Corps will meet teams from the Invercargill squadron in a series of sports contests In Invercargill tomorrow. The Dunedin teams will arrive by the early afternoon train. The football match will be played at Rugby Park at 1.45 pan. as a curtain-raiser to the Army match. The Invercargill team will be: Backs—A. G. Gould; H. McC. Raines, E. R. McKenzie, P. D. Skelt; K. A. Mitchell, A. A. Gray; S. F. Walker (captain). Forwards—N. E. Lilley, R. J. Bloomfield, I. E. Shepherd, J. C. Thomas, W. E. Lewis, C. W. Snow (vice-captain), D. A. Wilson, A. C. Anderson. The basketball matches will be played at the Y.M.C.A. at 7.30 p.m., and the table tennis at the Orange Hall at 7 pan. The Invercargill squadron will be represented at basketball by the four teams now playing in the competition—Kittyhawks, Tomahawks, Spitfires and Hurricanes. The Invercargill table tennis team will be: R. F. Jans, P. D. Skelt, C. W. Snow, B. A. S. Wilson. R- R- Foster. R. J. Bloomfield. The trophy presented by H. and J. Smith, Ltd., will be competed for at the tournament.
Tomorrow morning the Invercargill squadron of the A.T.C. will take part in the military parade which has been organized for patriotic purposes.
