(Special) WELLINGTON, August 13. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Moderate variable winds tending to northerly. The weather mainly fair, but some scattered fog and drizzle near the east coast; temperatures cool.
The weather in Invercargill yesterday was fine and sunny with a light westerly breeze. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was cool, clear and calm. The barometer reading was 29.82 in. (steady). The Tides.— High water, Invercargill 4.09 a.m.- 4.30 p.m. Bluff, 3.28 a.m.; 3.49 p.m. Riverton, 2.28 a.m.; 2.49 p.m. Oreti Beach, 2.37 a.m.; 2.58 p.m. The Sun.—Rises 7.51 a.m., sets 5.54 p.m.
