ERNDALE INJURES LEG (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 13. Erndale was injured near the hind leg when doing a run over the hurdles earlier in the week. The trouble did not appear serious at first, but the leg filied later and in' the meantime there is a doubt about him contesting the Grand National Hurdles. TROTTING FIXTURES (P.A.) WELLINGTON, August 13. The Wellington Trotting Club will hold a patriotic meeting on September 12 and the spring meeting On September 19, both on the Trentham racecourse.
MEN’S HOCKEY POSTPONED
Because of the patriotic Rugby football match on Saturday and at the Mayor's request that all sports fixtures be postponed, it has been decided to postpone all hockey matches set down for tomorrow.
