SALE OF EGGS
Sir, —Last week during his talk for the man on the land, Mr A. L. Adamson urged farmers’ wives to keep more fowls in their backyards and quoted a guaranteed price for eggs of 1/8 a dozen for the North Island and 1/6 a dozen for the South Island. As many farmers’ wives are in search of this market but cannot find it, will Mr Adamson please explain more explicitly this statement? C. J. CALDER. Waimumu, August 10, 1942. [This, letter was referred to Mr Adamson who said he had quoted the guaranteed prices for eggs from, an official circular from the National Council of Primary Production.]
