MANY PASSENGERS FOR TASMAN FLIGHT

AWARUA TO LEAVE FOR SYDNEY TODAY (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, September 27. The largest number of passengers booked for the Tasman flight since the service was inaugurated in April will leave for Sydney tomorrow by the Awarua. Among the 17 passengers will be several who arrived at Auckland by the Pan American Airways clipper from America on Thursday piloted by Captain Oscar Garden. The Awarua will also carry 3481 b of mail, including transit mail from America and 901 b of freight. The Awarua, commanded by Captain J. W. Burgess, returned from Sydney this afternoon with 15 passengers, over 7601 b of mail and about 1001 b of freight.
