N.Z. CASUALTIES IN EGYPT
PRIVATE KILLED BY BOMB EXPLOSION Private G. R. Osborn, of the Army Service Corps, who was killed by a bomb explosion in Egypt, was a son of Mr and Mrs E. Osborn, of New Lynn, Auckland. He was 32 years of age and unmarried. He enlisted on the outbreak of war. He arrived in New Zealand from England when 16 years of age and worked in the Kaitaia district, where he was well known. Private Reginald Frederick Buckingham, who was wounded in air bombing in Egypt, is the eldest son of Mrs F. B. Gunn, of Howick, and the late Mr Buckingham, of Matangi. He was employed by Mr W. Price, a building contractor. Mrs Gunn has two other sons, Privates A. D. Buckingham and L. M. Buckingham, in the 3rd Echelon, and a fourth son, L. Buckingham, waiting to enter camp with the 4th Reinforcements. Private James William Roiall, aged 29, who was similarly wounded, is the husband of Mrs R. A. Roiall, of Grey Lynn, Auckland. He is serving with the 18th Rifle Battalion, Ist Echelon. He was born in Aberdeen and has two children.
