Laughing Prince Dead

Laughing Prince, sire of many useful gallopers in recent seasons, broke a leg last week and had to be destroyed. Both as a juvenile, and later in his career, Laughing Prince was a brilliant galloper, and won many good races, including the Avondale Guineas, Eclipse Stakes, Mitchelson Cup, G. G. Stead Memorial, Canterbury Cup and Feilding Stakes (dead heat with Inflation). Early in his career he was owned by Mr W. J. Jorgensen, for whom he won the A.R.C. Welcome Stakes, but later he carried Mr T. A. Duncan’s colours. Laughing Prince was foaled at the Sledmere Stud, New South Wales, in 1924.,
