RELIEF FOR AIR RAID VICTIMS

Special Appeal Of Southland Times . F. Sturman), and the totals now

Although the fund is now in a more flourishing condition, Southland has still a considerable way to go to attain its quota of the Dominion’s contribution, about £l5OO, It is not a large amount to ask from the people of Southland as an expression of their admiration of the invincible and heroic spirit of the people of London, and of their sympathy with them in the ordeal through which they are passing as a result of the ruthless and indiscriminate bombing of the Nazi raiders. There could be no more worthy cause, and the need is urgent. Prompt giving is essential if the relief is to be really effective. Contributions received for The Southland Times fund and also those received by the treasurer of the Southland Patriotic Council will be acknowledged in these columns.
