TAXI DRIVER COMMITTED TO SUPREME COURT
(United Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 25. William McCready, a taxi driver, who elected to be tried by jury, was committed by the Magistrate (Mr J. L. Goulding) to the Supreme Court for trial on a charge of having in his possession 50 copies of “The People’s Voice” with a view to facilitating the publication of a subversive statement. Bail was allowed.
