SMALL INCREASE IN COAL OUTPUT
MEETING OF RAILWAY BOARD AT WAIRIO “The output of coal has been very satisfactory for the past month,” stated the report of the general manager (Mr A. W. Rodgers) to the monthly meeting of the Ohai Railway Board at Wairio. There had been a small increase in tonnage.
A new waiting room had been erected and 171 free mine workers’ tickets had been issued.
There were present: Mr W. Crawford (chairman) and Messrs G. S. Edie, J. S. Edmond, D. D. Macdonald, W. S. Adcock, G. Tinker and E. Davis. The general manager (Mr Rodgers) and the traffic manager (Mr R. Donnelly) were also in attendance.
