SERIES OF LECTURES ON MUSIC
PROGRAMME FOR SEASON ARRANGED
An interesting series of lectures and recitals for the second half of the season was arranged at a meeting of the committee of the Music Section of the University Association of Southland. The first of these will be given tomorrow night by Mr H. W. Slater on the subject of “Literature and Music.” Subjects which will be dealt with at later meetings include the development of the variation form in music, Shakespeare and music, and dance forms through the centuries. In the programme for tomorrow night songs will be given by Mrs B. W. Hewat and Mrs P. Frampton and Mr Slater, and the North Sqhqol Choir trained by Messrs F. Beadle and P.
