SOUTHLAND WAR FUNDS

MEETING OF ASSOCIATION A recommendation that Mr J. T. Lewis, of Gorge Road, be appointed a councillor and a member of the Main Committee for the Waimahaka district in place of Mr J. Stirling, was made at the bi-monthly meeting of the Main Committee of the Southland War Funds Association. After the appointment had been agreed to the chairman (Mr H. J. Farrant) extended a welcome to Mr Lewis and expressed' the hope that his association with the committee would be a long and happy one. Those present aj the meeting were Messrs H. J. Farrant (chairman), C. Bennet, J. Doherty, J. Stirling, A. W. Cockburn, T. Pryde, R. Scott, J. S. Filippini, J. T. Lewis, J. S. A. McDougall, D. Macpherson and J. Fisher.
