A SUCCESSFUL YEAR EXPERIENCED

ACTIVITIES OF ANGLICAN TENNIS CLUB

“Although the expenditure was fairly heavy a successful year was experienced,” stated the annual report of the Anglican Tennis Club, which was presented at the annual meeting of the club on Saturday night. One team • was entered in the Eastern Southland B grade competition and, although not successful, it acquitted itself well." The club congratulated the Gore Club on its success in winning the competition in which the club’s team was engaged. The credit balance of the club dropped from £l4/18/7 at the beginning of the season to £7/1/3 because o', heavy expenditure in top-dressing the courts, but the club was still in a satisfactory position.
