CONCERT BY MUSIC TEACHERS

EXCELLENT PROGRAMME ARRANGED

The proceeds of the 'concert which is to be presented by the Invercargill music teachers in the Civic Theatre on Wednesday next will be given to the emergency precautions scheme and to the St. John Ambulance Association for the purchase of necessary equipment. The excellent programme which has been arranged will include items by corifbined church choirs; the Invercargill Orchestral Society; songs by Mrs J. Rattray and Miss Margaret Casey, Messrs L. E. Dailey and Alex Wilson; a trio by Misses M. and G. Hunter and M. Arnott; a pianoforte solo by Miss Mary Gilbert, a pianoforte duet by Misses M. Searle and M. Fitzgerald; a double duo by Misses D. Anderson, J. Rose, S. Gough and J. Horrell, of the O’Byrne School of Music; elocutionary items by Miss Mary Thomson and Ismay Fenn; and dancing by the Southland School of Highland and Classic Dancing.
