MARIST BEATS WINTON In the annual Rugby football match at Rugby Park yesterday, the Marist High School team beat Winton District High School by 21 points to 5. The Marist backs were superior to their opponents and the forwards were fairly evenly matched. The scorers for Marist were Braxton (2), O’Neill (2), O’Brien, M. Forde and E. Mulqueen. For Winton Ward scored and Hamilton converted. The referee was Mr B. Grace.

At basketball St. Catherine’s College A team beat Winton by 9 to 3 and St. Catherine’s B team won by 7 to 1.
