ANOTHER GALA DAY IN INVERCARGILL

EFFORT IN NOVEMBER A decision to combine the Mystery Parcel and Gala Day Committee with the High Jinks Carnival Committee to form the Invercargill Traders’ Patriotic Assistance Committee was made at a meeting during the week. Mr J. D. Campbell presided. The newly-formed body will remain in force for the duration of the war and its assistance will be given to worthy objects. It was decided to hold a lucky packet and gala

day on the streets of Invercargill on November 1 and valuable prizes have been donated for the occasion. The gala will be controlled by the same committee that arranged the previous efforts.
