WOODLANDS

MOCK COURT To raise funds for the supply of their quota of Christmas parcels for soldiers, the Woodlands Patriotic Committee held a successful mock court and bring-and-buy sale in the public hall. The following acted as court officials for the trials: —Judge, Mr J. E. Hickey; clerk of court, Mr G. Wyeth; crown prosecutor, Mr J. C. Hannan; council for accused, Mr A. Napper; police officers, Messrs J. Robbie and A. W. C. McKee.

' The sale of parcels and goods realized a satisfactory amount. Winners of competitions were: Cake, Mr C. H. Wyeth; tin of biscuits, Mr G. Browning.
