CHILDREN’S EFFORT CONCLUDED

FINAL PRESENTATION OF “TOAD OF TOAD HALL”

The final presentation of “Toad of Toad Hall” was given by the Little Southlanders, contributors to the Children’s Page of The Southland Times, in the Civic Theatre last night. After their performances on Saturday morning and Monday night, the young entertainers completed their final production with credit. Last night the main characters again carried out their parts well and Raynor Huffadine as Toad repeated her excellent performances. At the conclusion of the play, Mr M. Miller, a member of the committee of the Southland Children’s Health Camp Association, thanked the Little Southlanders for their efforts, and the audiences for their attendance. Cousin Betty and the producer, Mr M. Chaplin, were to be specially thanked for their untiring efforts. Mr Chaplin thanked Mr Miller for his remarks. He thanked those who had assisted to make the entertainment a success and said the following deserved special mention: H. and J. Smith, Ltd; Charles Begg and Company; Brown Owl, Dickey’s Ltd., Mr T. H. Jenkin, Mr M. J. Murfitt, Mr Alex Sutherland. M>- «.
