(United Press Assn. —By Telegraph—Copyright.)
(Rec. 5.5 p.m.) London, June 3. The Daily Telegraph says that it is definitely proved that the death of Mrs Whitehouse w-as not due to natural causes.
The police have taken statements from 190 people and questioned 250 more, but have not traced the driver of a car who deposited the semi-nude body on the high road.
A previous message stated: The dead body of Mrs Carrie Whitehouse was found, partly dressed, on an open road at Gateby, Manchester. There was no evidence of violence or foul play. Her husband, Captain Whitehouse, whom she married in 1913, is believed to be in New Zealand. Mrs Whitehouse lived alone in an apartment house in Manchester.
It was subsequently reported that Captain Whitehouse called at Scotland Yard and gave all the information required.
