REDUCED PRICES

NEW SOUTH WALES COAL. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) Sydney, June 1. The chairman of the Northern Collieries Association has announced that the reduction in the prices of coal would be: InterState and New Zealand 3/3 per ton; foreign trade, 4/3. The settlement of the coal deadlock has led to the recommissioning of upwards of 15 steamers. TWENTY COLLIERIES RESUME WORK.

(Rec. 8.50 p.m.) Sydney, June 1. Twenty of 34 idle northern collieries resumed work to-day. It is expected that the remainder will re-open during the w’eek.
