THE GRAF ZEPPELIN
PREPARATIONS FOR DEPARTURE. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) New York, June 1. 'At Lakehurst a crowd of 70,000 swarmed to the aerodrome throughout the day, many arriving by aeroplane. The refuelling of the Graf Zeppelin is completed, and hydrogen will be taken on to-morrow.
The departure of the airship was delayed until Monday night by repairs to the rear gondola, which was slightly damaged in a storm. The dirigible altogether, however, is in excellent condition after the arduous crossing, and the commander is highly gratified at her performance.
