WIND-JAMMERS’ RACE
FINNISH BARQUE’S PERFORMANCE.
(United Frees Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) London, May 31.
New interest has been aroused'in the great race for wind-jammers from Australia by the performance of the Finnish barquentine Mozart, which completed the passage from Melbourne in 93 days against the Pommern’s 105, Cecile’s 110 and Favel’s 115.
The Mozart however came home in ballast, hence it is a question for experts whether or not she enjoyed an advantage.
