' THE GORE ASSOCIATION. MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. The monthly meeting of the executive committee of the Gore A. and P. Association on Saturday was attended by Messrs J. A. White (chairman), P. Keir, R. L. Byars, G. Smith, J. Bruce, W. G. McKay, P. Cullen, R. K. Dodds, J. Fortune, IV. Y. Dickie, R. 11. Dickie, F. Trapski, J. A. Edwards, W. L. Scott, C. H. Tripp, W. G. Ladbrook, A. J. Cameron, T. Logan, R. Lawlor, D. Dickie, G. R. Herron, Henry Smith, J. Drysdale and J. 11. Galt. Condolence. A motion of condolence to the relatives of the late Mr W. Greig and also to the relatives of the late Mr J. P. Mclntyre was passed, the chairman stating that the late Mr Greig had been a member of the association for a great many years, while the late Mr Mclntyre had been a member almost since the inception of the association. The District Railways Engineer wrote acknowledging a letter from the association in regard to the siding accommodation at the showgrounds and advised that the matter would be duly considered.—Received. The Otago A. and P. Association advised that a conference of delegates from kindred associations would be held at Dunedin on Wednesday next, the principal business being to consider the question of fixing show dates, remuneration of judges and privileges to breeders. —Received. The Gore branch of the Plunket Society applied for the association’s usual grant to its funds. —It was decided to donate £3 3/to the society.
The Invercargill branch of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals applied for the association’s annual subscription to its funds.—lt was decided to donate £1 1/-. It was decided to hold the annual show on December 2 and 3.
