CAR HITS POST

DRIVER AND OCCUPANTS SERIOUSLY INJURED. (Per United Frees Association.) Oarnaru, May 22. Returning from a dance at Richmond in the early hours this morning, a light car driven by John Bishop collided with a lamp post opposite the racecourse and overturned. The driver and three occupants were removed to the hospital with severe injuries. The injured are John Bishop, badly crushed hand and shock. His condition is serious. Miss Alice Slavin, severe shock. Miss Muriel Campbell, serious head injuries. L. Harrison, concussion. He is progressing favourably. Road repairs are under way at the scene of the accident.
