TRANSPORT BILL
NEW SOUTH WALES MOVEMENT. PROVISION FOR BUS SERVICES. (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, January 18. The Assembly read for the first time the Transport Bill, which is framed on the lines of the English and New Zealand Acts. It provides for the appointment of a Transport Board consisting of the Railway Commissioners, which will be to operate motor buses in competition with privately-owned services, and the insurance of passengers on public vehicles by the owners.—A. and N.Z.
