CONGESTION OF GOODS TRAFFIC. (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. June 21. A conference of representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, the Progress League, the Industrial Association, and the Farmers' Union, convened by the Chamber of Commerce, was held to-day to discuss various disabilities exi.-ting in regard the congestion at Lyttelton. The following resolution was carried :■-"That a strong and representative committee of various bodies interested, including Railway Department be formed with a view of ascertaining exactly the causes of the trouble:- at present existing at Lyttelton, and report to a future meeting in three weeks’ time.”
