ALLEGED THEFT

A SHEEP CASE. FARMER COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. (Per United Press Association.) NEW PLY r MOUTH, June 17. At the Court to-day, George Payne, a farmer, of Okau, North Taranaki, was committed for trial on a charge of having stolen nineteen sheep valued at £32 Is, the property of a neighbour. The evidence alleged that accused had cut off the earmarks from the sheep, but on some of them were left evidences of identification.
